Seeking Teachers of ELA and Mathematics to serve on Standards Review and Development Committees (RDCs) and Advisory Panels (APs)– Applications Due September 1, 2017
Senate Bill 1 (2017) calls for the review and revision of Kentucky’s Academic Standards to occur every six years. This year, standards for Reading/Writing and Mathematics will be reviewed and revised based upon the processes outlined in SB1 (2017). The Kentucky Department of Education is seeking English/language arts and mathematics teachers of all grade levels to apply to participate in this work. Applicants will be required to meet in Frankfort for 3 to 5 days during the 2017-18 school year.
Selected team members will receive reimbursement for travel expenses. Substitute teacher expenses will be reimbursed to the teacher’s school district. Potential applicants are asked to verify the willingness of their school or district to release them for work dates throughout the school year.
